HIV & Hepatitis C Testing Event

Are you PrEP'd for spring? Join us to learn more about PrEP, your status and prevention & treatment options at our HIV and Hep C testing event on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Jefferson County Public Health (645 Parfet Street, Lakewood, CO 80215).

Here at Points West, HIV & Hep C testing is free, confidential and judgement-free. Walk-ins are always welcome, no appointment required. As part of being a confidential testing option, no insurance or ID is necessary! Our rapid antibody tests offer results within 30 minutes and only require a finger-prick.​

Incentives at our testing event will include:

  • Trivia & prizes

  • Gift bags

  • Refreshments & snacks

  • $10 incentives for each test

We will still be offering our regular harm reduction services on the day of the testing event. If for some reason you can't make it to the event but still want to get tested for HIV or Hep C, visit us during our regular office hours! Walk-ins are always welcome for testing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Fentanyl & Overdose: A Discussion for Communities

Points West, Jefferson County Public Health and the Jefferson County Substance Use Partnership are hosting multiple in-person opportunities for anyone who would like to learn more about drug overdose, fentanyl, and substance use. All are welcome. No Judgement. No assumptions.

 

A free, fact-based class about fentanyl, drug overdose and prevention in Jefferson County. Topics that will be discussed:

  • Fentanyl

  • Overdose facts and prevention

  • Who is at risk

  • Recognizing and responding to an overdose

  • Narcan (Naloxone)

  • Tuesday Feb 28 at 6 p.m. @ Stanley Lake Library – 8485 Kipling Street, Arvada
